A travel agency that sells tailored roundtrips to destinations all over the world, is developing its own internal CRM/ERP application.
Due to a frustrating user experience, I was asked to (re)design the application.

For a few years, I offered web design as a side hustle alongside my job. I’ve decided to include one of those projects in this portfolio.
Tessa from Picessa Photography was looking for a fresh brand and website. I created a new logo, branding visuals, and designed a website that matched her style and story.
I’m Ilse Huizenga
An analytical thinker with style.
Design, aesthetics and art have always been part of who I am. From drawing horses in primary school to being a true fashionista during my teenage years.
Still, I somehow chose a different career path. While studying Applied Psychology, I started experimenting with web design and I ended up building websites alongside my main jobs as a freelancer
Now, a few years later, I realised design was always the thing for me. When I discovered UX design, it just clicked. A career where I can combine creativity and analytical thinking, sounds perfect for me.
At my current job, I got the opportunity to join the IT team and take on the UX design of an internal application. That experience confirmed it: this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. And I couldn’t be more excited about it.
I love when everything comes together; usability, business goals and aesthetics. That’s the sweet spot I aim for.
Outside of work, I’m also:
– An adventurous traveller (30/195 countries visited)
– Into running and fitness
– A podcast & audiobook fan
– An animal lover (future dog owner!)
