Picessa – Moments we live for
Tessa from Picessa Photography was looking for a fresh new brand and website. I designed a new logo, developed visual branding visuals, and created a website that reflects her style and tells her story.

Define style
Tessa has a clear photography style; warm and cozy, with a feeling that instantly makes you feel at home. Her branding and website needed to reflect that. Because of this warm atmosphere in her work, we decided to use a warm color palette for her branding. I proposed a few color schemes, and Tessa picked her favorite.

To help decide between the final two color schemes, I created stylescapes to bring each palette to life.

The logo
Since Tessa’s business is all about photography, we quickly agreed that the logo should include a visual element related to it. A camera felt like the obvious choice.
I started with some sketches and explored a few different directions. Here are the ideas I came up with:

After refining a few details and adding fonts and visuals, this is the final design overview:

The website
After finalizing the colors, logo, fonts, and visuals, we moved on to the website. I started by organizing all the information Tessa wanted to share, using low-fidelity wireframes. This helped me define the site’s structure and content.
Once we agreed this was the right direction, I created the high-fidelity prototype:
Learnings
This was the first branding and website project where I used Figma. Before this, I designed directly in WordPress using the Divi Builder.
Working with Figma taught me a lot. Designing in Figma first really boosted my creativity, it gave me the freedom to explore ideas beyond what I thought was possible within the limits of the Divi theme.
In the end, I was able to bring all my ideas to life in WordPress. There was a solution for everything.
Looking back, this project was a valuable step in my growth as a designer, not just in terms of tools, but also in how I shape ideas into a complete experience.
